Madison Pappous, MS

Madison Pappous is a PsyD doctoral student specializing in evidence-based treatment for children and teens with anxiety and behavioral disorders. Madison has experience treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, selective mutism, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) and tic disorders in children and teens. She's been trained in exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy for OCD and has served as a therapist at UCLA Semel’s Child OCD, Anxiety, and Tic Disorders program where she provides individual and group therapy, and parent training. She has also been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety disorders, and in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), the evidence-based treatment for children age 2-7 with behavior dysregulation. Madison has specialization in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for young adults with mood and anxiety disorders and suicidality. She has additional experience working with children and teens on the Autism Spectrum and is a Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT). Madison also serves as a peer supervisor to other students at UCLA in their doctoral training, providing supervision on their cases as well as support in their training experiences.

Madison received her Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Child and Family Studies. She began her doctoral degree training at California Lutheran University in 2020. 

In her spare time, Madison loves spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, and playing board games!
